On the 8 th of May 2016, Janusz Wawrowski will appear in the opening concert of the 8e Festival International de Musique de Chambre en Charente. Together with Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska (soprano), Nathalie Shaw (violin), Julian Shaw (viola), Jacob Shaw (cello) and José Gallardo (piano), they will perform compositions by Johannes Brahms, Ernest Chausson and Darius Milhaud.
This evening at 7 pm at Zielona Góra Philharmonic Hall Janusz Wawrowski will perform Violin Concerto in A Major by Mieczysław Karłowicz. It will be the last performance before the upcoming recording with the BBC SO in London!
On the 6th of March, during the 3rd International Brother Wieniawski Festival, Janusz Wawrowski and Grzegorz Skrobiński (piano) will play Debussy, Sarasate, Wieniawski and Paderewski. The concert starts at 5 pm at Lublin Castle.
22-28 February 2016 Janusz Wawrowski will lead a master class in violin during the 3rd Winter Academy of Music held at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice. The series of master classes led by most prominent music pedagogues and performers are organised each year for the most promising music students from Poland.
On the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day Janusz Wawrowski will take part in a special concert held on 29 January 2016 at Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów. Accompanied by the Podkarpacka Philharmonic Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of composer and conductor Paul Hoffert, he will perform his Concerto for Contemporary Violin and Mood by Leo Spellman.
On the 24th of January Janusz Wawrowski will take part in the concert by the alumni of the support programme for the exceptionally talented musicians at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice, performing music works by Paganini, Wieniawski, Szymanowski and Penderecki.
On the 15th of January 2016 Janusz Wawrowski will perform two works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart: Adagio and Fugue in D minor KV404a (transcription of Fugue in D-sharp minor from J.S. Bach’s Das Wohltemperierte Klavier, vol. 1 and Clarinet quintet in A major KV 581.
The concert will take place at the National Opera House in Warsaw, Redutowe Rooms, at 8 pm.
On New Year’s Eve Janusz Wawrowski will appear with young stars of his generation: Eldbjørg Hemsing (violin), Lech Uszyński (viola), Benedict Kloeckner (cello), Nicholas Schwartz (double bass) and Anna Fedorova (piano).
